How to Use Kotoro

1Bring Your Cat Out
Click the Kotoro icon in the top right of your browser and turn it on. Your cat drops onto the page you're viewing.
2Move Your Cat
Grab your cat with the left mouse button and drag it anywhere. Let go and it lands softly with gravity.
3Resize Your Cat
Click the Kotoro icon and move the Character Size slider. Your cat changes size right away.
4Chat with Your Cat
Right-click your cat to open the input box. Type anything and press Enter, and your cat will answer.
Your cat remembers what you've talked about and picks the conversation back up next time.
5Ask It to Read the Page
Just ask something like “Summarize this page” and your cat reads the page you're viewing to answer. Select text first and it focuses on that part.
If you'd rather it didn't read pages, turn off “Refer to the page I'm viewing” in My Page. Sensitive sites like banking, email, and payments are never read, even when it's on.
6Set a Reminder
Ask something like “Remind me to stretch in 30 minutes” and your cat will tell you at that time. You can also make weekly ones, like “every Friday at 3 PM.”
Ask “What reminders do I have?” or “Cancel the stretch reminder” in chat, or check and delete them under “Promises with Your Cat” in My Page.
7Give Yourself Some Quiet
Say “Don't bother me for an hour” and your cat hides for a while. Say “Don't talk to me first today” and it won't start conversations.
Want it back sooner? Open the Kotoro icon, go to “Manage Character,” and press “Bring the cat back.”
8Ask for a Trick
Say “Jump!”, “Groom yourself,” or “Take a walk” and your cat does it right away.
9Bring Home Another Cat
Meet a new cat in Kotoro Village, then press Apply in My Page to switch the cat that stays with you.
Each cat has its own story, personality, and way of speaking, and remembers its conversations with you separately. You can give every new cat its own name.
