How to Move Kotoro and Ask Your Cat for Quiet Time

Ask Kotoro in chat and your cat can jump or take a walk. When you need to focus, you can also stop proactive messages or hide the cat from web pages for a set amount of time.

What actions can I ask Kotoro to perform?

Right-click Kotoro to open chat and speak naturally. There is no special command syntax or set of buttons to memorize.

• “Jump.” — Kotoro jumps in the tab you are currently viewing.
• “Take a walk.” — Kotoro walks across the screen.
• “Groom yourself.” — Kotoro starts grooming.

How do I ask Kotoro to jump?

Say “Jump” or “Give me a little hop” in chat. Actions such as jumping, walking, and grooming run in the tab where you sent the request. They do not move every Kotoro in every open tab at once.

How do I stop proactive messages for a while?

Include the amount of time you want, such as “Do not start a conversation for 30 minutes.” This pauses only messages initiated by Kotoro. The cat remains visible, so this is different from hiding the character.

To turn proactive messages back on early, ask Kotoro in chat or choose Allow proactive messages again in the extension popup.

How do I hide Kotoro temporarily?

Try “Hide for two hours” or “Please do not distract me for a while.” Kotoro will disappear from web pages. If you do not specify a duration, the default is about two hours. You can choose a period from five minutes to 24 hours.

Hiding applies across web pages where Kotoro appears, not just the current tab. To bring the cat back before the time is up, open the extension popup and choose Manage characters → Bring the cat back.

What is the difference between pausing messages and hiding?

• Pause proactive messages: the cat stays visible but does not start a conversation.
• Hide: the cat itself is not visible on web pages for the chosen time.
