Terms of Service

Chapter 1: General Provisions

Article 1 (Purpose)

These terms regulate the conditions and procedures for using Kotoro (hereinafter "Service") and its auxiliary services, which are operated as an individual service. By agreeing to these terms, you can use the service without a separate usage contract.

Chapter 2: Usage Agreement

Article 2 (Membership Registration and Management)

Membership registration requires agreeing to the terms and submitting an application. Members must use real and accurate information. Creating multiple accounts or misusing others’ information is prohibited. Where the operator reasonably deems necessary (e.g., ToS violations, abuse, security risk), account access may be limited or suspended. Users under 14 are not permitted to use the service.

Chapter 3: Prohibited Activities

• Modifying, reverse engineering, decompiling the service
• Copying, modifying, redistributing, selling, or licensing similar services or program source code
• Creating multiple accounts by one person to sell or share accounts
• Excessive use that disrupts normal operation or generates abnormal traffic
• Automated calls beyond provided scope, crawling/scraping, limit-circumvention, vulnerability scanning/attacks, or any act intended to disrupt operations

If detected, use may be restricted or suspended without prior notice. Reverse engineering or acts intended to disrupt operations are subject to civil and criminal legal action.

Chapter 4: Service Provision

Article 4 (Service Operation)

In principle, the Service is available year-round; however, it may be temporarily suspended due to technical reasons or policy changes. For stability, reasonable rate limits and temporary restrictions may apply. If we become aware that an operational mistake has caused harm, we will notify users as promptly as possible via the website/extension notices or email.

Chapter 5: Intellectual Property Rights

All rights to the Kotoro character and logo, including its universe and ideas, belong to the individual ‘JUNSEO Ko’. Any modification, adaptation, derivative works, redistribution, or reuse (commercial or non-commercial) of the character, logo, or ideas is strictly prohibited. Rights to service screens, text, and code belong to the service provider. Rights to member-created content belong to the members (with a non-exclusive license granted to Kotoro for operation and promotion).

Chapter 6: Miscellaneous

Article 6 (Disclaimer and Damages)

To the extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Damages caused by the member’s intentional or grossly negligent acts are borne by the member. Notwithstanding the foregoing, for direct damages caused by the operator’s gross negligence, liability applies as required by law, and users will be notified promptly upon awareness.

Article 7 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. The Seoul Central District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance over disputes arising from or relating to the Service.

Supplementary Provisions

These Terms take effect on September 3, 2025. Changes will be notified at least 1 days in advance, or 30 days for material or unfavorable changes, via reasonable means such as extension notices or the website. Contact: sta06167@gmail.com
